We are sorry to tell you that all Go First flights until August 31, 2023 have been called off because of operational issues. We’re sorry for the trouble caused by the canceled flights. “We understand that the flight cancellations may have affected your travel plans and we are dedicated to helping you in any way possible,” Go First stated.
On May 2, Go First cancelled its flights and asked to go into bankruptcy because they blamed a US engine maker, Pratt and Whitney, for not being able to keep up with their needs. This caused some of their planes to be out of service.
The DGCA has given permission to the airline to start flying again, but with some conditions. The DGCA said that Go First can start doing scheduled flights again if they have enough temporary money and if the regulator approves their flight plans. The government authority said that 15 planes can fly and there can be 114 flights every day.
The airline has around 4,200 workers and made Rs 4,183 crore in revenue from its operations in the fiscal year 2021-22. There were reports that because the Go First flight were stopped, airfares went up, especially on certain routes where Go First used to fly.
