Nagaland Firing incident : Victims families demand action against security personnel, refuses compensation

The locals of Oting in Nagaland’s Mon area and groups of the 14 individuals killed in the shootings by security powers denied any administration pay until the faculty included are “dealt with”.

In an assertion, the Oting Village Council said that on December 5 when local people were occupied with memorial service game plans and different works in the fallout of the killings, Rs 18.30 lakh was given by state serve P Paiwang Konyak and the area’s agent magistrate.

The assertion, given on Sunday, was endorsed by Village Council executive Longwang Konyak, Angh (‘ruler’) Tahwang, Deputy Angh Chingwang and Gaon Burahs (town tribal leaders) of Mongnei and Nyanei.
