Amit Shah, Ajit Doval, Rahul Gandhi pay last tribute to CDS Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife

Association Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Congress pioneer Rahul Gandhi on Friday laid wreaths on the human remaining parts of Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat and his better half Madhulika Rawat, who were among the 13 killed in the tactical chopper crash in Tamil Nadu.

The human remaining parts of Gen Rawat and his better half were kept at their authority home here before incineration.

Outside Gen Rawat’s home, individuals raised mottos of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, ‘Gen Rawat amar rahe’, and ‘Uttarakhand ka heera amar rahe’.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, BJP pioneer Ravi Shankar Prasad and British Ambassador to India Alexander Ellis were among different pioneers who offered their final appreciation to Gen Rawat and his better half.

Offering his appreciation to Gen Rawat, Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge depicted him as a “great man”.

“It is a misfortune to the country, he was pride of the country,” Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said subsequent to paying accolades.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia likewise laid their wreaths on the human remaining parts of Gen Rawat and his significant other.

Gen Rawat, his better half, and 11 other guard faculty were killed when a Mi17V5 helicopter conveying them slammed close to Coonoor in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.   PTI
